PengaTen Tso Lake

PengaTen Tso Lake (PTSO), also known as Pankang Teng Tso, is a beautiful high-altitude lake located in the Tawang district of Arunachal Pradesh, India. It’s a popular tourist destination known for its stunning natural beauty and serene environment.

It is situated at an elevation of approximately 12,000 feet (about 3,658 meters) above sea level.

The lake is nestled in the Eastern Himalayas, surrounded by snow-capped mountains and alpine meadows.

The name “Ptso” is said to mean “Peach” in the local Monpa dialect, possibly referring to the shape of the lake.

The lake is famous for its crystal-clear waters that reflect the surrounding snow-covered peaks, creating a breathtaking view.
