Panoramic Views: The primary draw of Laitlum is the expansive, awe-inspiring view of the surrounding gorges and hills. On a clear day, you can see for miles, while on a misty day, the entire canyon is shrouded in a surreal, otherworldly fog. The scenery changes with the light, offering different hues from morning to evening.

Trekking and Hiking: Laitlum is a trekker’s paradise. There are several trails, including a relatively easy walk to the main viewpoint. For the more adventurous, a steep, winding stairway of about 3,000 steps leads down to the remote Rasong village, located deep in the valley. This challenging trek offers a glimpse into the local Khasi way of life and stunning views of waterfalls and bamboo plantations.
