Day wise breakup:

Day 01: Guwahati Airport-Shillong (125 km/ 04 hr)
Our Tour Manager will welcome you upon your arrival at Guwahati airport. Later transfer to Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya. Overnight at hotel Pegasus Crown or similar.

Day 02: Shillong-Cherrapunjee (56 km/ 90 min.)-Shillong
After breakfast excursion to Cherrapunjee, famed for receiving the highest rainfall in the world. Cherrapunjee posseses some exotic waterfalls & impressive limestone caves. At Cherrapunjee we visit Nohkalikai Falls, Mawsmai Falls, Bangladesh border and Mawsmai cave which is one of the 100 odd limestone caves in Meghalaya. Later back to Shillong. Enroute visit Elephant falls and Shillong Peak around Shillong. Overnight at hotel Pegasus Crown or similar.

Day 03: Shillong
Full day in & around Shillong. We start off with a visit to Smit village which is the head quarter of the traditional Kingship of Khyriem of the Khasi tribe. Afterwards, we take a drive to Mawphlang, the site of the Khasi Sacred Forest. This particular grove at Mawphlang houses some unique and fascinating plant life which has attracted the attention of eminent international botanists and naturalists. These isolated pockets are untouched due to religious beliefs and myths attributed to them. M

Day 04: Shillong-Nameri National Park ( 316 km/ 06hr)
After breakfast transfer to Nameri National Park in Assam near Arunachal border. The Nameri National Park is the home of the near extinct White Winged Wood-Duck. Besides, the park abounds in Elephants, Tiger, Leopards, Sambar, Barking Deer, Wild Pig, Gaur, Wild Dogs and a variety of birds including four species of Hornbill. Overnight at Eco Camp, a camp resort.

Day 05: Nameri National Park-Kaziranga National Park (Approx.71 km/ 02 hr)
Early morning you can have a walk inside the park. Later after breakfast we gear up for a river rafting down the sparkling river Jia Bhoroli which forms a boundary to the park. Later in the afternoon transfer to Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the home to the endangered one horned rhinoceros (2048 rhinos as per 2009 census). Day 06: Kaziranga National Park
Full day at Kaziranga. We start our Jungle Safari on elephant back early in the morning in the central range of the park for one hour. Afterwards, back to hotel and breakfast. After breakfast we take you deep inside the central range of the park in a jeep. Then, we come back for lunch and rest for two hours. Again in the afternoon, we take up another jeep safari this time covering the western range of the park. Overnight at Bonhabi Resort/Jupuri Ghar or similar.

Day 07: Kaziranga National Park-Sangsua / Gatoonga Tea Garden (Approx.75 km/2 hr)
After breakfast transfer to Sangsua / Gatoonga Tea Estate near Jorhat. On arrival check in at the heritage garden manager’s bungalow. The rest of the day is free at leisure enjoying the tea garden. If tea plucking and the factory works go on we shall take the assistance of a garden executive to explain us the method of tea plucking or tea processing. Day 08: Sangsua/Gatoonga-Majuli Island (a Short drive & 90 min. Ferry)-Sangsua/Gatoonga
We shall take a day long excursion to Majuli Island after early breakfast. Majuli is the largest river island in the world. It is the centre of Assam’s famous Vaisnavite form of Hinduism. The religious and cultural traditions are kept alive by the dedicated monks living in the monasteries locally known as Sattra. The Sattriya dance of this sect is the latest entry into India’s recognized classical dances. We shall visit some monasteries & interact with the celibate monks. In the late afternoo

Day 09: Sangsua/Gatoonga-Guwahati (Approx.290 km/ 6 hr)
Transfer to Guwahati. Overnight at hotel Nakshatra/ Pragati Manor or similar.

Day 10: Guwahati
Full day sight seeing in & around Guwahati including Sualkuchi silk village, Madan Kamdev archaeological ruins, Kamakhya temple etc. Overnight at hotel Nakshatra/ Pragati Manor or similar.

Day 11 Guwahati Airport Transfer
Transfer to Guwahati airport on time to catch your departure flight. The end of the tour.
